  January

  January 19 - CISFC held its 2025 Annual Work Conference and Conference on Full and Rigorous Party Self-governance.

  January 23 - Li Yunze, Secretary of the Party Committee and Minister of the National Financial Regulatory Administration (NFRA), led a delegation to visit CISFC. During the visit, he reviewed progress in grassroots Party building, the “Four New project (New Institution, New Style of Work, New Achievements and New Image), and business development outcomes, and extended warm regards and New Year greetings to frontline employees.

  March

  March 25 - CISFC held a symposium on fund asset management, with focused discussions on the macroeconomic outlook, insurers’ asset-liability management, and investment strategies for fixed income and equity assets.

  March - To implement requirements on the reforms to the fund collection framework, CISFC launched a quarterly collection and contribution function in its fund management system in line with the updated regulatory requirements.

  March - CISFC innovated its verification approach by introducing an industry-wide self-inspection covering 180 insurance companies—the first initiative of its kind—targeting common issues identified in earlier on-site reviews related to fund reporting and contributions. From March to December, CISFC also conducted on-site inspections at seven insurance companies, identifying and rectifying issues that affected the accuracy of fund contributions.

  April

  April 9 to 11 - CISFC organized the 30th meeting of Expert Committee for the Risk Assessment of Insurance Industry.

  April 25 and 29 - CISFC held a special reading class on the study and education program on fully implementing the central Party leaderships eight-point decision on improving Party and government conduct.

  May

  May 13 - CISFC held a warning and education meeting, during which the Party Secretary delivered a lecture on Party integrity and clean governance.

  May 29 - CISFC completed the 2024 annual account reconciliation. A total of RMB 27.039 billion yuan (including VAT) was assessed as payable by 180 insurance companies, representing a year-on-year increase of 2.61% and reflecting the continued steady growth of the scale of fund.

  May - CISFC organized the Party Conduct and Clean Governance Warning and Education Day activities.

  June

  June 19 - CISFC, together with Jinan Financial Holding Group Co., Ltd., PICC Asset Management Co., Ltd., and Jinan Zhengjin Tongda Investment Group Co., Ltd., jointly established Fuzhe Life Insurance Co., Ltd., with a registered capital of RMB 17 billion. CISFC holds a of 35.29% equity stake.

  June - CISFC established a management mechanism for full-time equity directors.

  July

  July 6 to 18 - CISFC held a special training program on Party spirit education and Party affairs for key personnel.

  July 28 - CISFC released the Risk Assessment Report on China Insurance Industry 2025.

  July 30 - CISFC held the fourth (extraordinary) meeting of its fourth Board of Directors, during which it revised the Rules of Procedure of the Board of Directors, established a Board-level Policyholder Rights and Interests Protection committee, and ed the membership of the Boards specialized committees.

  August

  August 1 - CISFC held its first Party Building Work Conference to implement the decisions and arrangements of the CPC Central Committee on strengthening Party building in the financial sector, as well as the requirements of the Party Committee of the NFRA on strengthening Party building across the NFRA’s system.

  August 8 - CISFC fulfilled the targeted poverty alleviation and assistance tasks assigned by the NFRA and donated RMB 1 million to the local government of Chahar Right Middle Banner, Ulanqab City, Inner Mongolia, to help promote comprehensive rural revitalization in the areas receiving targeted assistance.

  August 28 - The CISFC Labor Union held its First General Assembly of the Fourth Term, electing the Fourth Labor Union Committee, the Fund Review Committee, and the Women Employees Committee.

  September

  September 23 to 25 - CISFC held the 31st meeting of the Risk Assessment Expert Committee for Insurance Industry.

  September 25 - The Party Committee of CISFC held an enlarged meeting to review and summarized the study and education program on fully implementing the central Party leaderships eight-point decision on improving Party and government conduct.

  November

  November 4 - CISFC held a symposium on fund and asset management, with focused discussions on the macroeconomic outlook, asset allocation of insurance funds, and investment strategies for fixed income and equity assets.

  November - The CISFC delegation conducted professional exchanges with the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS) of the United Kingdom and Aegon N.V. of the Netherlands.

  December

  December 12 - CISFC held a briefing session to study and implement the guiding principles of the Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee, with the Party Secretary delivering a keynote address.

  December - CISFC launched a pilot run of its equity management information system, leveraging digital capabilities to strengthen dynamic monitoring of portfolio companies and advance the digital transformation of equity management.
