CISFC Holds the Q1 2021 Investment Supervision Meeting

Apr 12, 2021

On March 19, 2021, CISFC held the investment supervision meeting for Q1 2021 online. Investment portfolio supervisors, marketing department heads, and liaisons from 13 investment managers and custodian banks attended the meeting.

Meeting attendees reviewed the supervisory and management efforts for CISF portfolios in Q1, and discussed investment blacklist, investment concentration, repurchase deviation, and option-embedded bonds, among other topics. Relevant parties were particularly required to strictly abide by the business integrity and other disciplinary requirements as set out in CISFC rules governing the relations between employees and business contacts.

The meeting noted that in the present market conditions, risk prevention remains the top priority for CISF portfolios. Consequently, investment supervision in the near future will focus on the following two aspects: (1) monitoring the changes in basic indicators and strengthening communications to ensure that all indicators meet the relevant requirements of the CISF investment guidelines; and (2) tracking the bonds issuers and promptly alerting any negative public opinion towards them, as a way of controlling credit risks to avoid default and ensure the safety of CISF assets.
