On October 16, 2018, the China Insurance Security Fund Co., Ltd. (CISFC) held the 2018 Innovation and Development Seminar of the Internal Journal Observation of Insurance Risk in Beijing.

Wei Yingning, Vice Chairman at the then CIRC and founding Chairman of CISFC; officials of CBIRC, PBoC, and regional bureaus of CIRC; as well as experts and scholars from insurance companies and relevant organizations were invited to the seminar. CISFC Chairwoman Yu Hua, Deputy General Manager Wei Zhuyong, and Secretary of the Discipline Inspection Committee Zhang Zhongliang attended the seminar, Assistant General Manager Zhou Fuping chaired this seminar.

Vice Chairman Wei Yingning spoke highly of CISFC and the journal: “As the body in charge of collecting, managing, and using the Insurance Security Fund, CISFC has been actively expanding its services. The creation of Observation of Insurance Risk, a professional internal journal that focuses on the management of insurance industry risks, is of particular significance to monitoring and analyzing the risk profile of the industry and resolving risks at an earlier stage. The achievement in the past year has proved that the journal is heading in the right direction at the stewardship of a dependable team.”

Chairwoman Yu explained the background, positioning, and accomplishments of the journal in the past year, and set the goal of growing it into a premier and pioneering publication in raising the risk prevention awareness, risk management capacity, and quality of insurance and security services of the industry.

The over 50 attending experts and scholars engaged in extensive and in-depth discussions on how to raise the professionalism and relevance of journal articles, enhance the influence of the journal, and enable it to better support the insurance industry, providing valuable suggestions and comments through active and cordial exchange.

Building on those feedbacks, CISFC will seek to promote the journal by improving its positioning, its editorial mechanism, the source and quality of articles, and methods of dissemination, so as to make greater contribution to the study of financial and insurance risks, the cultivation of risk awareness, and the sustainability of the industry.
